Kingsway Dundee Commerative Coin

This coin is a limited edition of 50, and was commissioned by the Heritage Trust to commemorate the 50th Anniversary of the opening of the Kingsway Fire Station in Dundee. The coin is issued in a black presentation box, on the front face it has a badge of the Angus Area Fire Brigade which opened the station in 1972,  with the wording around the badge sating “Kingsway Fire Station 50th Anniversary”. The rear face states the names and dates of the Services that the station has operated under during its 50 years. The coin is accompanied by a reproduction of the opening presentation leaflet that was produced which highlights the background to the build and the stations design.
