The Greenock Fire Museum and Heritage Centre is 10 years old this year.
Since this is the first season following lockdown, it was decided not to mark this with any formal event, but to focus on encouraging visitors back to the museum. To date, our visitor numbers have returned to pre-Covid levels.
On the 15th of August 2022, Stuart McMillan, the local MSP for Inverclyde, paid an informal visit to the museum.
Well done to Graeme and all the Heritage Trust Volunteers that do an absolutely outstanding job at the museum. Which attracts feedback like this among many other great reviews we receive from the general public and the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service etc , in relation to both the museum and the 100+ events we cover at community events on our own or at the request of the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service with our mobile fleet of appliances.
Attached is the correspondence we received following his visit.
Well done to all involved
