Preservation Through Operation

Our Scania 538 is now back on the run with the Heritage Trust.

We recently brought back into our fleet a former Strathclyde Scania appliance 538 that had been stationed at Largs when she was on the run.

We have restored her back to the way she was when on the run and got all her ladders back 135, short extension etc, BA racks fitted and put back to her operational  condition.

She looks fantastic and to celebrate her getting back into the fleet from restoration, she got a wee photo shoot along with her stablemate Scanias from the Heritage Trust fleet and the on the run Scania at Douglas community fire station where she is tucked up in the appliance bay.

We moved her to her new home yesterday and some of the pictures are below.
