Scottish Firemaster Alexander Nisbet Wins George Medal April 1941

He was posted down to London to gain practical experience of fire fighting under air raid conditions.

In just under two days after arriving in London, Firemaster Nisbet was honoured for showing conspicuous bravery during an air raid on the night of April 19-20 resulting in the rescue of three trapped men.
